Lousy Mother's Day Dinner

Purpose : To exploit the special Mother's Day promotion which is really nice.
2 Splitzza + 1 Jug of Pepsi + 4 Bowls of MSG laden campbell soup + Hut's Platter + 2 Brownie + Mother's Day Goody Bag = about S$48.00 ++

Despite the title of "Mother's Day Special", the special offer is valid without the mother counterpart. So my sisters dropped in at the Ang Mo Kio outlet, while I join in after work.

Disappointment 1 : The special offer is "sold out"

Our response : Ok, fine. We go for the squarish splitzza meal for S19.90. The waitress took our order, and gave us 2 pepsi and 2 bowls as part of the meal, which we consume while waiting for our splitzza.

Disappointment 2 : The splitzza arrives in a round pan...the squarish pizza we were expecting became a normal pan pizza. We stared at the pizza in disbelief.

Our response : We voted 2 out of 3 to reject the pizza. Our order was a Splitzza and not a pan pizza. I talked to a waitress about the mistake. She got the manager to come around and she states that the splitzza is "out of stock" and the pan pizza is the replacement. Athough we were not told about this, she insists that every customer have been told of the subsitutition during ordering. She claims that the replacement pan pizza (regular) is the same as the Splitzza we are ordering. This totally contradicts the promotional brochure screaming at us : The squarish Splitzza is bigger than the normal round pan Splitzza. My sisters got pissed,decided to skip the pizza dinner and went for KFC dinner next door.

The manager went fanatic and kept repeating that the ingredients and size of the Splitzza is the same. She finally stops when I told her that my sisters were disappointed and had walked off. When I told her that I will only pay for the soups and drinks consumed, she went into hyper mode, trying to sell me the full meal by packing the already rejected pizza into a box for take away.

This is really stupid. Firstly, we came for the special promotion which was only available for dine in. If not for that, we would have order through the delivery service. Because of my younger sister's condition, we have to pay for a cab to get there and back. They cancelled the promotional package and we compromised for the squarish Splitzza package. Then we got a regular Splitzza pan pizza and a load of bullsh*t.

Aftermath : End of the day, I paid about $6 dollars for drinks (soup was given free) and $10 for cab which we didn't have to pay for if we knew this sh*t will happen. The pizza hut manager gave us her mobile number and name. She promises that she will give us something special on our next visit. I took the receipt with her number just to shut her up and dumped it as soon as I reach home. As a evil a$$hole, I will never give them another chance ever again. So we had a family feast meal at KFC instead.
